Appnext was on my radar sometime before an opportunity to work in the company actually came up. I was impressed with Appnext not just because I recognized it was a tight-knit team that worked seamlessly together, but also because I knew it would be a stimulating and fulfilling environment to work in. I saw a company that is at the forefront of innovation and is a true leader within its industry. In short, I am sure you can see why I wanted to be a part of it!

As Appnext’s Head of Sales for Europe, I want to highlight some of the outstanding developments we have made in both my region and globally. Firstly, let me give you some facts and figures to offer a clearer picture of the incredible growth we have experienced. Appnext has made huge advancements in the last couple of years – especially since the start of our OEM journey – and we now serve in excess of 6.5 billion app recommendations to over 750 million active daily users in more than 40 countries worldwide. We have grown exponentially over the past year, with both Europe and Latin America far exceeding 8 billion app recommendations per month. We expect to see this figure shoot up in 2021.

Something I’m particularly proud of is Appnext’s continued progress in user acquisition. Those of us in this industry know that user acquisition can be a challenge. Every year, it becomes more and more difficult as competition across the various app stores intensifies to even greater levels and app advertisers battle for visibility in this crowded marketplace. However, what is clear is that Appnext has embraced the demands of UA and, more importantly, excelled at it. We have differentiated ourselves from competitors by becoming the first (and only) platform that targets users at multiple points throughout their daily mobile usage. Critically, our proprietary technology allows us to predict which apps users are most likely to engage with, thus increasing the number of people who interact with our clients’ apps. This user acquisition journey has been bolstered by us fostering excellent relationships with OEMs. The leap forward from in-app to device-level discovery was made possible by building solid partnerships with top manufacturers, such as Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo, and opened up a new window of opportunity in terms of unique placements on devices that allow apps to be discovered intuitively. Our relationship with OEMs will continue to allow us to release new and exciting products and invest in market education in the future.

The launch of Appnext’s Out of Box Experience was a milestone with regard to the benefits advertisers get from our platform. OOBE is revolutionary not only because it enables flexible and personalized device customization, but also because of the value it has for advertisers. From the very first time the mobile is switched on, advertisers have the opportunity to immerse users in their apps, specifically highly intent users who are setting up and personalizing their devices. We are continually forging new partnerships with advertisers to help them capture new users and re-engage existing ones.

I am incredibly proud to be a part of the Appnext team: its dynamism, inventiveness, and imaginativeness are incomparable and these are the attributes that have helped propel us to where we are today.
